DAVAO CITY - The suspect in the killing of a house helper, who was found lifeless by the roadside in Blk 20 Lot 44, Deca Homes, Cabantian, Buhangin, Davao City, at 6:30 in the morning yesterday, has been apprehended.
The victim was identified as Shella Lagsaway Han-ay, 29 years old, a resident of Don Marcelino, Davao Occidental, who was killed by her employer known as Nenita Pagatpatan, 70 years old.
Based on CCTV footage obtained from the area, an elderly woman can be seen pushing a cart containing a heavy object wrapped in a tarpaulin.
It was later discovered that the lifeless body of the victim was inside the mentioned tarpaulin.
The CCTV footage was instrumental in identifying the suspect.
Nanay Nenita was swiftly apprehended and taken to prison.
However, during the interrogation last night, she experienced difficulty breathing and was subsequently brought to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the remains of the victim, Shella, were brought to a local funeral parlor in the city.
The police in this city are still investigating the motive behind Nanay Nenita's killing of her helper, Shella.
